CQ Wilder, M.ED. is a graduate from George Mason University earning a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in ESL Education. She is currently an English Adjunct Professor at Prince George's Community College. She also is a Field Experience Instructor and an Adjunct Education Professor at Montgomery College. Full-time, she is a Language Acquisition Manager at a public charter school in DC.
She has presented at various conferences, including the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE), and has worked closely with the Office of State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and the DC Public Charter School Board. Her classroom was highlighted in The Achievable Dream: College Board Lessons on Creating Great Schools written by Gaston Caperton and Richard Whitmore.

The goal for the series is to teach foundation skills in early childhood students. Concepts like inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and predicting are taught to children, while they explore the world around them as Karla finds herself on numerous adventures.
